Paul Mitchell's early-evening event at a rooftop garden and loft in Rockefeller Center used two distinct areas to launch two product lines to beauty editors. Curly or straight, coarse or fine, long or short, hair can have opposing qualities, so why not a dual-themed party designed to showcase two dramatically different new product lines from a professional hair-care product manufacturer?
Last night about 65 beauty editors gathered at 620 Fifth's loft and garden for the Paul Mitchell Pro Tools and Tea Tree launch event. The doubleheader was designed to introduce the editors (and, it follows, their readers) to the company’s newly revamped Tea Tree line of shampoos and conditioners, as well as its new Pro Tools line of professional appliances.

Overdevest wanted the garden part of the event to reflect the experiential aspect of the Tea Tree products; to that end, piped-in aromatherapy from Scentevents replicated the scent of each product line, and guests were treated to hand massages and pulse-point massages using the line’s soon-to-be-released body moisturizers, as well as scalp massages. “We’re trying to hit all the senses,” Event Energizers’ John Ierardi said. Team Flamingo and Scentevents create a Prize winning “Scentsational” promotion for Project Eureka!
An Event Solutions Design Challenge sponsored by Eureka! Party Tents at the 2008 Catersource Conference & Tradeshow and Event Solutions Idea Factory.
The Challenge was to create and execute a product launch for TY KU (www.trytyku.com), an all natural Asian Liqueur. Teams had 36 hours to design, build, assemble and present their work to a panel of judges and over 6,000 attendees of the 2008 Catersource Conference & Tradeshow and Event Solutions Idea Factory held in the Las Vegas Convention Center and Las Vegas Hilton. The challenge combined relationship building, creative direction, design and logistical elements while challenging the competitors to showcase their talents in these critical areas of event design. As the event challenge unfolded, conference attendees were able to witness the creative process at work. (read more)

Sammy Hagar Plays Contractors' Holiday Party
Greg Jenkins and the Team at Bravo Productions incorporate the Scentevents system to enhance the performance of Sammy Hagar
KH&S Contractors chose a potent all-red theme for its holiday partyand brought Sammy Hagar for a two-hour concert. The party was a red-hot ticket, so to speak. Or, at least, the look of the event on December 1 at the Grove in Anaheim for 800 guests featured red in abundance a nod to both the traditional holiday hue and the company's record-breaking sales year.
The main space featured 10-foot-tall columns covered in red fabric, from metallic shag to sequins. Giant flower displays incorporated red purses, Western boots, heating and plumbing supplies, chains, feathers, and other miscellanea. A 40-foot-long water wall served as a focal point to the stage, where Sammy Hagar performed a two-hour concert of both old and new tracks. Invitations and guest credentials had the look of concert tickets. Four scent machines gave the space the scent of cinnamon candy.

Junior Blind of America A Spook-Tacular Halloween Carnival
Dressed in their cutest and creepiest costumes, students, family members and volunteers came to Junior Blind’s annual Halloween Carnival. Ghastly games and a Howling Haunted House were just a few of the day’s most exciting attractions. “The Haunted House was so much fun!” said one of the guests. “I never knew what was going jump out next and it even smelled spooky!” That spooky smell was “Musty”, created by Scentevents especially for Junior Blind’s Haunted House.

Sniffapalooza
Neal Harris - Harris Fragrances. Mr. Harris treated us to the effects of his Scentevents company which scents the air with fragrances based on the event. Outside at registration the lovely Velvet Rope wafted thought the courtyard. Mr. Harris' company also does movie red carpet events.
The smell of Velvet Rope surrounded me as I entered Fred Segal the morning of February 1oth. Oblivious to the fact that it was being blown through a machine to set the mood for the event, I just wondered how the folks at Fred Segal all managed to smell so good!

Scentevents is the proud provider of the Simpsons donut scent: The special edition soundtrack was created for the Simpsons Movie. The 15 track score is composed by award winning film composer, Hans Zimmer. The limited edition CD features a special edition pink glazed donut case complete with a donut scent.
With the Simpsons movie less then 2 weeks away, the official movie licensed memorabilia is growing by the minute. However one cannot overlook this special edition soundtrack package created for the movie. Featuring an iconic donut as the case, this 15 track score is composed by award winning film composer, Hans Zimmer. Baby Talk Kiosk
"We opened up our first kiosk called Baby Talk in The Westfield Topanga Mall and incorporated a Scentevents scent player into the kiosk. We sell baby and toddler clothes. We are using bubblegum to scent the area around us. Customers said that the smell of bubblegum lured them to us. We think that the scent system is bringing potential customers over to our kiosk who may not have stopped by. They're in a good mood, and they seem really interested in the clothes and more inclined to buy our products. We were told this is the first time a kiosk has used scent to draw in customers. So far, it's working wonderfully! Next week, chocolate scent!"

JAFRA Cosmetics
Radar Creative worked with Jafra's marketing department in order to create a spa-like experience for 500 women. Sounds easy, right? But when you have less than 45 minutes to change the room from a general session to a full-out spa environment, it allows for challenges to arise. So Radar got in the right mood immediately by playing soft relaxing music and lighting candles on every table during the change-over. They also played a soothing wallpaper loop while women entered the room.

The actual fragrance from the spa product filled the room (thanks to Scentevents®) creating an immediate product experience that worked. Scentevents assisted with the kick off of “The Special Event” by providing an Orange Blossom and Cinnamon Scent for the Queer Eyes & a Straight Guy - Event makeovers seminar by the creative team at Bravo Productions. Guests were able to see and smell how three relatively 'boring' event themes and décor elements can be transformed into a much stronger multi-sensory presentation through a mini-extreme makeover on a shoestring budget. The transformations are accomplished through the skills of the team, consisting of expertise in scenery, lighting, food station decor and floral design and Scentematography design. FIDM Event:
Now, there's a Downtown Los Angeles chapter in the perfume tale. On Oct. 17, the Annette Green Perfume Museum, the world's first and only museum of the kind, and corresponding exhibit Fashion Makes Scents debuted at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. The museum is a permanent fixture; the exhibit runs through Dec. 2 in the FIDM Museum and Galleries.

The L Word
The L Word hit television series from Showtime in conjunction with Apothia at Fred Segal utilize Scentevents® launch "L Eau De Parfum"
The upscale Los Angeles boutique Apothia at Fred Segal and the hit television series The L Word selected the Scentevents® System to help launch a new fragrance inspired by the series. The scent, “L Eau de Parfum,” was designed by the creative team of Through Smoke Creative led by Gary McNatton in conjunction with Ron Robinson, Inc. the parent company of Apothia and was promoted at a star studded event held at the boutique in February. The very sensuous fragrance includes notes of angelica, juniper, cardamom and crystal amber that enticed guests throughout the evening thanks to the Scentevents® System. The launch party was attended by Ilene Chaiken, Creator and Executive Producer of the series who was also involved in the fragrance process, cast members Katherine Moennig, Mia Kirshner and Sarah Shahi and numerous celebrities including Dana Delany and Camryn Manheim attended this exciting event.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Scentevents was the official Scent provider to Warner Brothers' premeire of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory written by Tim Burton and starriing Johnny Depp as Willie Wonka. Guests at the Premiere on July 10 at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood were tantalized by the aroma of a chocolate factory. The scent of chocolate was also in the air at the candy-filled reception held afterwards at a Hollywood Studio. Select theatres and events throughout the USA will be utilizing the Scentevents system developed with Scentair Technologies.

Ritz Carlton in Naples
World renownrf event planner John Daly of John Daly International hired Scentevents to scent the opening of the new spa at the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida. The amazing scents of fresh cucumber and eucalyptus greeted guests at poolside as they indulged themselves in massages and specialty drinks at the bars. All guests tables were scented with fresh melon to enhance the centerpieces that consisted of watermelon, cantaloupe and honey dew. The guests were impressed with the amazing aroma that came from the centerpieces.

Johnnie Walker Gold "sensuality: indulging the senses"
Mark Ruffalo of the recently released "13 Going on 30" hosthisted this benefit. Guests (including Freddy Rodriguez, Jason Behr, Jennifer Siebel, Hal Sparks and Kadee Strickland) were chauffeured to the fabulous "Bella House" overlooking Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the romantic Los Angeles skyline on a perfect spring evening.
Live gold statues welcomed attendees, as the sensual aroma of chocolate by La Maison Du Chocolat subtly filled the air. Richness and sensuality were enhanced with candles throughout. The warmth of vanilla and luxurious leather gently wafted through the air as guests enjoyed a tasteful array of exquisite h’ours dourves, Johnny Walker Gold scotch and fine chocolates.

Winter Wonderland in Beverly Hills
Another extraordinary event by Mindy Weiss, with a new twist from Scentevents!
Guests entered the snow covered evergreen forest of the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills and immediately were greeted with the fresh scent of evergreen on a cool walk into an enchanted Winter Wonderland. Adults and children experienced every delight and delicacy from made to order sushi, cool and breezy martinis, Peking duck rolls to fun stations including create your own bobble head, become a star in a karaoke concert or make your own lip gloss to name a few. The ballroom truly looked like a winter wonderland with perfection and detail including snowball floral arrangements with ice skates (designed by none other than Marks Garden), a snow-white floor and hanging snowflakes throughout.
The spectacular event was topped off with the most delicious dessert array imaginable and, of course, the room was filled with the delectable scent of rich Godiva chocolate.

The Last Samurai Premiere Party
Warner Bros Studios presented The Last Samurai Premiere Party at the Armand Hammer Museum in Westwood. Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz wandered through the courtyard smelling the sweet scent of Cherry Blossom, provided by Scentevents. Over 1200 other guests enjoyed the scent as it covered the entire courtyard of the party.

Heller Ehrman event
Tropical paradise in Santa Monica, California. An evening of cool breezes, delicious food, creative libations and soothing steel drum sounds. This summer party had all the right touches including the amazing scent of Green Mango and Citrus Mojito as guests entered the party. As they walked up to the bar for a specialty drink, they smelled fresh coconut and enjoyed fresh blended pina coladas and rum runners. The evening ended with the sweet smell of fresh chocolate as amazing chocolate macadamia nut crunch cake was served.

Foundation For the Junior Blind
The theme was 50's
Guests entered the hall and were greeted with familiar scents from sock hops and the 50's era. Individual food stations were set up around the room- a popcorn cart, a cotton candy machine, and a snow cone machine. The familiar scents of each treat provided a "vision" to the attendees who are visually impaired. Ken Metz of FJB commented " We ended up having a great time and even extended the dance for an extra hour as folks stayed to dance with the 50's music, eat cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones and ejoy the great scents from that era" The addition of Scentevents was a hit and many of our guests did not event know it since it smelled so realistic. We look forward to using Scentevents at our Halloween event- do you have the smell of a haunted house?
Tropics in Canada
Recently Scentevents scented a Caribbean theme event in Toronto. Over 500 guests were treated to the smell of fresh coconut as they sipped pina coladas and coconut flavored Mojito's during the cocktail hour.
When they entered the 25,000sf tent for the main event they were greeted with the scent of fresh mangos combined with a touch of coconut and fresh tropical flowers- it was truly a tropical paradise even in Canada. Prior to dessert, the smell of rich melted chocolate filled the room and set the tone for the upcoming dessert treat. Guest's are still talking about the unique touch the inclusion of scent added to this extraordinary affair.
Warner Brothers
At a recent Cuban theme party at the Warner Brothers lot in Burbank CA guests sipped Cuban Mojito's (fresh lime, spearmint and rum) and were treated to a refreshing scent of fresh lime and mint to complement the Cuban Theme. As they danced the night away the lively scent of bananas filled the dance floor. Guests were very pleased and numerous upcoming events have been scheduled as a result of the positive effect the inclusion of scent had on this event.
I'm 50 years old.
The Scent of Pink Bubble gum not only works great for kids but for adults alike. At a recent 50's theme party the yummy smell of bubble gum welcomed guests as they entered the expansive back yard decorated with authentic 50's memorabilia, a Martini Bar and neon bar and tables. Everyone loved the scent "it was just right" and really added the perfect touch to a wonderfully organized and fun evening.
Hot Apple Pie, tastes as good as it smells
At a recent "Western Theme" party the delicious scent of Hot Apple Pie was introduced just before and during the yummy dessert course of the evening. Guests were served individual Hot Apple Pies and could not get over how great they smelled.
Afternoon Tea, Is it Scentevents or the Garden?
A scent of fresh cut lilacs provided the perfect scent for a sophisticated Saturday afternoon tea and luncheon on the outdoor patio of the host's home. The guests were greeted as they entered the outdoor garden to delicious delicacies, beautiful sunshine and the smell of fresh Lilacs. The guests continued to tell the host "what a beautiful garden and it smells so nice" until finally the host let them know she had a little assistance from Scentevents. They couldn't believe how natural the scent was. Many guests have contacted us to learn more about the infinite scent choices available.
Bright Child, not just for Kids.
A child's birthday party held at Bright Child- a popular indoor entertainment location for West side Los Angeles area Kids- was enhanced with the scent of "Pink Bubble Gum" as guests (children and adults) entered the party. Guests continually commented; "the addition of the wonderful scent really made this party unique and fun". One guest commented, "I didn't believe they allowed bubble gum here- it smells great, may I have a piece?"
The fresh smell of Birthday Cake was utilized prior to and during the birthday cake celebration. Another guest said "this is really great for my diet, the smell is making me so hungry I must eat some birthday cake". She then asked, "Would it be possible to make a Spa Scent to encourage me to work out.
Oooh, that Chocolate fountain.
Numerous events have utilized a "Milk Chocolate" scent to enhance the dessert bar, which often includes a cascading fountain of melted milk chocolate. The Chocolate fountain is always a tremendous "hit" at each event and the "wow!" factor is really powerful as guests used their noses to seek out the fountain; Guest's cannot not stop talking about the incredible fountains of chocolate that smell and taste so great.
Hillcrest Country Club Valentines Day 2003
As Guests arrived they passed through the "tunnel of love" filled with the scent of fresh cut roses. The addition of Scent added depth and ambiance to the beautiful bouquets of roses decorating the event. Response of guests was very positive as they expressed the natural beauty and sophistication of the party was "perfect". The rose scent really set a positive tone for the evening.
Martini Bar
The scent of "Sour Apple" was utilized at a recent party (100 guests) to enhance the ambiance of a Martini bar. With the inclusion of Scent, Apple Martini's were consumed at a ratio of 3-1 vs. all other drinks combined. The positive response from Guests was excellent and many attendees have utilized the Scentevents system for their own events.
